Abstract Lagotto

As I recently mentioned on Instagram, Lagotto Market is coming to life on this site – a place for beautiful things connected to our beloved lagottos. The very first product is a unique abstract painting of a lagotto.

At first, I thought it was a portrait of me – but when I looked again, I realized it's more of a feeling. Summery, soft, full of color. And that's exactly how it should be. 

The artist behind this work is Denise Dissmann, a German painter and the human companion of Greta, a lovely lagotto. She lives with her family in a renovated 1960s house near nature. Her paintings are full of emotion, movement, and life – not something you hang just to match your curtains, but because it speaks to something inside you.

Greta – a lagotto with a big heart – inspired Denise to start a new series of abstract dog portraits. Not realistic paintings, but something deeper. A way to capture presence, joy, and the sensitivity we lagottos bring into human lives.
